The Seamanship Centre trains ASV Crew.
Autonomous Surface Vessel also called Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship MASS.
We train Captains, Engineers and Support Crew. All training is Flag State Approved.
We can train an operator to legally operate to 40 miles from a safe haven in approx. 6 weeks
We can train an operator to legally operate to 150 miles in approx. 10 weeks.
We can train an operator to operate an ASV worldwide in timely increments depending on sea-time and ability.
ASV engineers follow the MCA Approved Engine Course programme which we run every 6 weeks, their training includes ASV specific modules on Stability, Power supplies, Charging systems, Transducers, Comms, Watertight fittings, Launch and recovery, Slinger Banksman and Deck Crane.
Support Crew are also trained in the operation of support boats and close quarters boat handling.
