This certificate, administrated by COMREG, is suitable for operators who use marine VHF equipment on the international marine VHF channels. This includes yachtsmen, offshore workers and crane operators.

Course content:

• Marine safety at sea (SOLAS)
• General radio regulations
• Practical operation of marine VHF equipment to contact coastal radio stations, coastguards and other ships.

Course duration is two days

Candidates must be 16 years of age to sit the course and exam. We issue course notes in advance of the course, and require some pre-course study.
