This course is normally used by Inshore search and rescue crew, Charter-boat skippers, Commercial workboat crew, Fish farmers and serious recreational boat users.

This certificate combined with STCW Mandatory safety training week and a GMDSS VHF Radio certificate will qualify the holder to a Department of Transport Passenger boat commercial endorsement skippers ticket.
