DESCRIPTION:1 Introduction\n1.1 Aims and main learning objectives\nThe aims of this Course is to give the participants awareness through theoretical and practical training to encourage Confined Space Awareness and perform activities in a safe manner in the environment of a port facility\, on board ship or any hazardous space in accordance with Irish Legislation.\nContent:\n The Delegates understand the relevant legislation and Code of Practice for Working in Confined Spaces.\n The Delegates are able to demonstrate understanding of what a confined space is.\n The Delegates understand the risks and hazards associated with a confined space.\n The Delegates are able to demonstrate understanding of the Permit to Work System for Confined Spaces. Appreciation of the different types of atmospheres.\n Use of gas detection equipment in hazardous atmospheres.\n Diseases and personal hygiene associated with confined spaces.\n The Delegates are able to demonstrate an understanding of rescue techniques from an enclosed space. Use of Personal Protection Equipment\, i.e. ropes\, harnesses and man riding hoists.\n Different types of full working Breathing Apparatus and ancillary equipment.\n Safe systems of work for entry into confined spaces.\n Methods of communication.\n Manning levels.\n Emergency procedures\nObjectives:\n To provide knowledge and understanding on identifying a confined space.\n The legislation associated with working within a confined space.\n To provide the knowledge and understanding of the risks and hazards associated with a confined space.\n To provide a thorough understanding of the dangers of confined spaces.\nPrerequisite knowledge: None\nCourse duration:1 day \n\n\n		\n		Review MCA Approved Confined Space Awareness Course..
