DESCRIPTION:The course was designed for personnel working in\, on and around the water\, such as County Council\, waterways management\, port and harbour personnel\, bridge and waterside infrastructure engineers and contractors.  \nThe course is based on information taken from ‘The Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seafarers’ and The IMO STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities Course. \nDuration 1day. \nCourse Size: Minimum 6 candidates. \nThe course can be delivered at our training centre or customer site. \nCourse content. \nDiscussion on the hazards peculiar to to the candidates work environment. \nAppraise – Plan – Execute – Monitor. \nChoosing the right PPE for the job. \nUse of the PPE \nBouyancy aids\, Lifejackets and flotation Devices. \nThe Hazards: Cold water shock – Fast flowing water – Stagnant water – Enclosed spaces – Wildlife – Vermin – Other works\, etc. \nSafety Lines & Harness. \nRigging safe access and egress to the water or work area. \nFail safe rigging systems and how to deploy same. \nSafe exit from the water \nSafe entry to the water. \nWading techniques\, checking the ground. \nEnclosed Spaces. \nRemote Site. \nTeam working and third party communications. \nEmergency actions. \nMARPOL and the avoidance of marine pollution. \n  \n\n\n		\n		Review Safe Working on the Water..
